The Position:
You will be expected to support the continued growth of Korea investment practice and will be responsible for winning, leading and managing investment consulting projects in Korea, providing first class investment advice covering governance, asset allocation, portfolio construction, and manager selection and monitoring advice.
Job Description:
[Clients]
Deliver investment consulting services to Korean clients using the Company's proprietary tools and research
Meet project timelines (internal and external) with quality deliverables
Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to Head of Investments, Korea
Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
Interface with colleagues from other LOBs, (e.g., Retirement or Insurance) and regions on assignments which reflect the client’s broader business issues

Perform technical check and review of work
Contribute to clients’ success through applying technical expertise
Participate in special projects as needed
Contribute to the development of existing and new tools and approaches, and the Company's thought leadership and research

Meet billable hour and sales goals as agreed
Support the generation of new business and new ideas / opportunities
Develop new business opportunities with Lead/Senior Investment Consultants
Manage small client projects and expectations to ensure that projects are profitable

Develop cooperative internal relationships with consultants from the Company's other Line of Businesses to assure that client investment consulting issues are met
Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
Job Requirements:
Fluency in English and Korean (both verbally and written)
Korean Registered Fund Manager License (투자자산운용사 자격증) a must, or must attain upon joining
MBA and/or CFA preferred
ASA / FSA / FIAK or other actuarial degree a plus
3-7 years’ experience in the investment industry i.e. consulting, asset management, or brokerage, institutional investor background
Individuals with an existing network with Korean institutions preferred
Experience in and knowledge of Korean corporate pension industry and funds preferred
Specialist knowledge experience around alternative investments preferred
Strong research / analytic skills and knowledge of investment, products and capital markets
A highly motivated professional with the highest level of integrity and work ethics
A self-starter who can initiate and carry out assignments on an independent basis
Effective problem solving and project management skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively at all levels of both the Company's and client organisations
The maturity and professional experience necessary to interact and consult effectively with internal professional staff , clients and other external parties on an independent basis
Demonstrate accomplishments and success in working in a collegial professional environment where positive interaction and team working is required to fulfil clients' needs
