Job Description:
Full responsibility for professional, smooth and efficient factory closure project
according to defined milestones and objectives (time, cost, quality)
Professional, smooth and efficient production transfer to overseas (Asia) according to defined milestones and objectives (time, cost, quality)
Professional management of the Labor Union throughout the whole process, starting
with wage negotiations in April 2018 (LU engaged with Korean Confederation of Trade
Union in manufacturing industries)
Retention of key employees until final production ramp-down (timeline approx. 1 year)
Employee communication and professional handling of any occurring dynamics
between management and employees or Labor Union
Regular reporting to global Management Team of Business Unit Electronics
Scope: 60 employees; mainly Operations, Quality, Engineering
Timeline: 18-24 months
Job Requirements:
Professional background in Operations (ideally, many years of experience as
Operations Director or in similar function and related industry)
Sufficient experience in factory closure and cross-country production transfer projects (People, Facility, Equipment, Legal, Tax, etc.)
Strong experience in direct labor union management in unionized Korean companies (factory engaged with Korean Confederation of Trade Union in manufacturing industries)
Strong network with MOEL / Labor-related authorities under the current employee friendly regime
Strong ability to manage employee emotions in tough situations and under pressure
