The Position:
The role of Sales and Marketing Director is primarily responsible for the creation of Business Development opportunities for the Company's core portfolio of LED lighting and motion sensor products within the South Korea marketplace. Having extensive sales and marketing experience in the sector of intelligent motion sensor LED lighting solutions for distribution and/or installation in industrial and commercial premises, and benefiting from an extensive contacts roster, the role seeks to establish and build a valuable addition to the Company's global reach alongside existing establishments in Japan, mainland Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. In addition, the role will focus upon the wholesale and retail channels for LED lighting and passive infrared motion sensors in South Korea to support the development of further opportunities and revenue streams for the Company
Job Description:
Establishment of Korea sales and marketing company in South Korea
Identification of government incentives that the Company may leverage to facilitate and support the sales of energy savings solutions to target industrial/commercial customers
Delivery of a feasibility study focused upon gaining local market share in the following business divisions:
- Intelligent sensor lighting solutions
- ODM/professional supply via wholesalers and/or reseller channels
- Retail DIY (e-commerce and physical stores) for domestic sensor products
Development of a 3-year Business Growth Plan:
- Initially based on suitable products from currently-available portfolio, for market launch within each of the three business divisions and with the aim of achieving a breakeven point within the first year
- Identification of new product development (NPD) opportunities aimed towards achieving long-term growth and profitability
- Close collaboration with the Company's R&D team in realizing the NPD plan.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 10 years track record in market development and winning sales for installation of energy saving LED lighting solutions in both industrial, logistic and commercial premises
Excellent local contact networks within both private and government/public sectors
Good knowledge and experience in developing and securing Energy Saving Companies (ESCO) status.
Experience in sales and distribution via ODM/professional/wholesale channels of passive infrared motion sensor and/or motion sensor lighting products will be an added advantage
Excellent leadership, managerial, coaching and mentoring skills
Good communication and writing skills in English language
Good report writing and presentation capabilities
Great interpersonal skills with a proven ability of working with multi-national, cross-functional teams (both internal and external) towards achievement of Key Performance Indicators
Proficient in reading and writing in English language
Good EQ in conflict management
